My J.C. Ryle Quotes site has been up and running for over six months now. In that short amount of time I’ve come across some fantastic sites which are very similar in their approach of providing God-exalting, Christ-centered, Gospel-focused quotes to the body of Christ.
I’ve decided that every so often on weekends (since I provide Ryle’s quotes Mon-Fri) I would like to direct you faithful Ryle readers to other sites that provide quotes which will benefit you in your walk with Christ.
Today, I want to direct you to Matthew Blair’s newly designed site dedicated to the writings of Octavius Winslow.
Octavius Winslow [1808-1878] was a Baptist minister in England who ministered around the same time as the great preachers John Charles Ryle and Charles Haddon Spurgeon.
“Octavius Winslow stood out as a one of the foremost evangelical preachers of the 19th Century. A Baptist minister for most of his life, he seceded to the Anglican church in his last decade. His Christ centered writings show devotion, practicality, and excellence. He writings are richly devotional and warms the soul and inflames the heart with sincere love, reverence, and praise to Christ.”
I trust you faithful Ryle readers will benefit immensely from the quotes of Octavius Winslow. He is well worth subscribing to via RSS or Email.
