1) Read the Bible with an earnest desire to understand it.
2) Read the Scriptures with a simple, childlike faith and humility.
3) Read the Word with a spirit of obedience and self-application.
4) Read the Holy Scriptures everyday.
5) Read the whole Bible and read it an orderly way.
6) Read the Word of God fairly and honestly.
7) Read the Bible with Christ constantly in view.

I found the YouTube channel where these videos may be accessed.
2) Did God not give us reason? I will make allowances when, in a given situation, I do not understand God’s revelation to me at that moment but to say in a blanket statement that Reason “bow” to God’s revelation makes God seam unreasonable. God’s actions and instructions for us are not unreasonable.
6. How about applying cultural context as well.
I will end on the note that this list has encouraged me to read the scripture more and fully.
