Let us diligently follow the example of Christ’s patience in all the trials and afflictions of life, especially in those which may be brought upon us by religion. When He [Christ] was reviled, He reviled not again; when He suffered, He threatened not, but committed Himself to Him that judges righteously. Let us arm ourselves with the same mind. Let us consider Him who endured such contradiction of sinners without a murmur, and strive to glorify Him by suffering well, no less than by doing well.

Praise the Lord! This quote could NOT have come at a more perfect time as my wife and I were literally just talking and struggling through this very thought last night.
This is the exact passage that came to mind.
everyone have a great weekend!

This fits in perfectly with what I’m teaching at our Ladies Fellowship tonight. We’ll be looking at passages that remind us that God is sovereign in all things and has absolute authority over all His creation. Knowing this brings joy and peace as we trust that God works all things out for His glory and our good. What a great model we have in Jesus. Will have to look up the reference for the verse used here.
I’ll have to add this quote to my lesson. Thanks!
You’re welcome Audrey. Glad to hear you’ll be exposing other Christians to John Charles Ryle.
